FIRE ALARM SYSTEM

firealarm — Fire alarm systems

Maintenance, testing, inspection and installation of firealarm systems to NFPA 72 and EIT standards, with certification reports signed by a licensed electrical engineer.

What is a firealarm system?

A fire alarm system (firealarm) detects a fire at its earliest stage and warns building occupants so they can evacuate in time. It comprises a fire alarm control panel, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, and audible and visual notification devices.

Building control law requires many types of building to install a firealarm system and have it inspected every year, so regular maintenance is not only a safety matter but also a legal requirement.

Frequently asked questions

How often should a firealarm system be inspected?
NFPA 72 recommends testing detection and notification devices at least once a year, while control panels and batteries should be checked every 3-6 months to keep the system ready and reduce false alarms.
What causes false alarms?
The most common causes are dust in smoke detectors, high humidity, insects inside devices, deteriorated wiring, or sensitivity settings that do not suit the area. Regular PM greatly reduces these problems.
What can the engineer certification report be used for?
It supports the annual building inspection required by building control law and can be submitted to building inspectors, government agencies or insurers. The report is signed by an electrical engineer licensed for controlled engineering practice.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve the whole of Thailand from our office in Nonthaburi, covering Bangkok, the metropolitan area and the provinces, for both contract maintenance and one-off call-outs.
