NOVEC 1230 — the environmentally friendly suppression system

NOVEC 1230, or FK-5-1-12, is a fluoroketone clean agent developed to replace halon and HFC agents. It is stored as a liquid at atmospheric pressure, making transport and storage safer.

Its key strength is a very low GWP with an atmospheric lifetime of only about five days, and zero ODP, so it does not deplete the ozone layer. Organisations with environmental policies or long-term compliance goals commonly choose this system.
